Jio’s 5G Service: Big news! Reliance Jio launched True 5G in 101 cities in just 100 days, See details here

The speed of Jio’s 5G rollout is much faster than its rival companies. As against Jio’s 101 cities, Airtel has been able to launch its 5G service in only 27 cities.

New Delhi. Jio has set a new record by launching True-5G in 101 cities in 100 days. Tamil Nadu Information Technology Minister Thiru T. Mano Thangaraj on Wednesday launched the Jio True 5G network in the cities of Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Salem, Hosur and Vellore. With these 6 cities, the number of cities connected to Jio’s 5G network has reached 101.

The speed of Jio’s 5G rollout is much faster than its rival companies. As against Jio’s 101 cities, Airtel has been able to launch its 5G service in only 27 cities. At the same time, the customers of Vi i.e. Voda Idea are still waiting for the launch of 5G.

Reliance Jio started the 5G rollout by launching True 5G in 4 cities on 4 October 2022 and within just 100 days, its service has reached about 101 cities. These include metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata along with many small and big cities. Jio has also made its True 5G network available at places of religious importance like Nathdwara, Mahakal Temple, Kamakhya Temple, Guruvayur, Tirupati.

On the occasion of launching, IT Minister Mano Thangaraj said that I am happy to launch Jio’s True 5G services in Tamil Nadu. 5G services will bring sea-changes and benefits for the people of Tamil Nadu. Start-ups will get a big boost with the introduction of 5G services in Tamil Nadu. Especially those start-ups who are working on new technologies like Internet of Things, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Analytics.

At the launch, a Jio spokesperson said that we are very excited to expand Jio True 5G to six more cities in Tamil Nadu. Soon Jio True 5G network will be available all over Tamil Nadu. By December 2023, Jio’s true 5G services will be available in every village and every town of Tamil Nadu.

Jio has invested more than Rs 40,000 crore to set up 5G network in Tamil Nadu. Due to this, about 1 lakh people have got employment directly and indirectly in Tamil Nadu. This shows our commitment towards the state.
