No more tuition in coaching centers by Govt teachers; Govt Order

The government on Friday announced a ban on all activities or assignments that involves private tuition by faculty members of the schools education department.

According to the Principal Secretary of the School Education Department, Alok Kumar, news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO) stated that the department had noticed that members of the School Education Department are undertaking coaching tasks in private coaching centres and institutions even in school hours.

He claimed that the assignments violate the provisions of Rule 10 of the Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees (Conduct) Rules, 1971 and chapter (IV) Section 28 of RTE Act, 2009.

Kumar in a notice issued: “No teaching faculty shall engage in any task or activity, including teaching in a private school or coaching center until they have received prior sanction from the appropriate authority. Any violation in this regard shall invite disciplinary action against the delinquent officer(s)/officials), as warranted rules.”
